Game 11: Running into a brick wall called Drese I've got to do a better job of getting out of the office and being home by 5pm. Oh, well... As Halladay mowed down the Rangers last night, Drese kept the Jays in check tonight. I think Drese is on his way to proving that last year wasn't a fluke. Teixeira had a nice night: 2 walks and a HR. Young chipped in too with his double and HR... Interesting to see DeRosa get some playing time. Too bad, it's coming at the expense of Gonzalez - whom Buck just needs to get in the lineup every night! Kinsler being down at AAA is a good move just because he wouldn't get playing time in the bigs and he needs gobs of playing time. The Red Sox just optioned Youkilis for similar reasons: he'll have a chance to play every night down in Pawtucket that he wouldn't get with the big club. When (not if) Soriano gets traded, look for Kinsler to leap frog DeRosa. Almanzar was also activated and Regilio (who was just activated the day before) is sent back down. Ricardo Rodriguez may be sorting his stuff out as well: which is perhaps a positive sign too. [/sports/rangers/2005] permanent link |
