My mother told me there'd be weeks like this.

It's just not my week. The new G4 processor for my Cube had a faulty cache (took a week to convince our people here to ship it back after we had an RMA - it takes roughly an hour to disassemble a Cube - actually, I can do it in about 20 minutes with my eyes shut now); my car broke down on the way back from UC Santa Barbara ($20 radiator cap busted; $140 to tow my car back); I powered off one of the new Apache boxes: eris (at least we know shutdown -p works on FreeBSD with ACPI on the IBM 345); my mail server's root partition gave up the ghost ($90 for a replacement hard drive; the backup MXs accepted some email while we were down).

Here's hoping next week (OSCON) will be better than the last!
